Manages Events Held at three popular venues

Mobile Civic Center

The Mobile Civic Center opened in July 1964 and showcases three facilities under one roof – an Arena, Theater and Exposition Hall. In nearly continual use year-round, the 400,000 square foot venue plays host to an impressive lineup of conventions, meetings, performing arts, sports and concerts.

The Civic Center hosts over 180,000 guests each year for local events such as Mardi Gras balls, Distinguished Young Women’s National Finals program, dance recitals, Mobile Ballet, Azalea Trail Run and Worlds of Opportunity, as well as national acts like WWE, Kevin Hart, Sesame Street Live and MercyMe.

Saenger Theater

Designated as the “Jewel on Joachim,” the Saenger Theatre is a historic landmark treasured for its architectural beauty and ties to Mobile’s cultural history. Opened in 1927, the Saenger is known for the caliber of entertainment it offers our community.

This performing arts center seats 1,900 patrons and hosts more than 70,000 guests each year. It is the home of the Mobile Symphony Orchestra, Summer Classic Movie Series, Lagniappe’s annual Nappie Awards and the Senior Bowl Leadership Summit. The Saenger also hosts national acts such as The Avett Brothers, Willie Nelson, Chicago, The Black Jacket Symphony, Vince Gill, Bob Dylan and more.

Mobile Convention Center

Built in 1993, the Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center features 317,000 square feet of meeting space with 18 meeting rooms, two ballrooms and two exhibit halls that total 100,000 sq. ft.

Each year, the Convention Center hosts more than 175,000 guests for national and state conferences and meetings, as well as annual local events. Our flexible meeting space allows us to accommodate groups as small as 15 and as large as 10,000.

Some of our most notable annual events include the Reese’s Senior Bowl Meet the Players Fan Experience, the Mobile Chamber of Commerce City and County Luncheon, Alabama's Department of Education Pre-K Conference, Junior League of Mobile’s Christmas Jubilee and the Mobile Boat Show.
